The GPNM will be launching its Phosphorus Task Team at an inaugural meeting in Edinburgh, Scotland between the 15th and 16th September. The meeting will take place at the Center For Ecology and Hydrology, one of the collaborating partners within the GPNM. The meeting will seek to elaborate the support role of the Task Team within the GPNM partnership, and the global community, determination of priority outputs and milestones in the context of an action plan, and propose modalities for regional and global stakeholder engagement on phosphorous management agenda.
The task team includes representation from select national governments, the private sector, research agencies and intergovernmental technical and policy support agencies. The task team is chaired by Arnoud Passenier, Director Value Chains Sustainable Innovations within the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment of the Netherlands.
